Motorola V3i
From a fashion accessory to a pretty good mobile, the Motorola v3i has come a long way. The v3i may be one of the most famous of the Motorola mobiles till date. What has turned a mobile into a status symbol for a cross section of consumers is worth thinking about.
The first thing that strikes one on seeing the v3i is the sheer sleekness. This mobile is a real sleek one, quite rightly called the wafer thin mobile. Secondly, the very look of the mobile is something very different from any other phone model currently available.
When the v3i was first released, questions were asked about its durability and whether it had the same features offered by models by other cell phone companies in the same range. The answer is a yes and a no.
The Motorola v3i is available in two models, one with the iTunes and another with the Motorola Digital Player. Then, the mobile has a 1.23 MP camera whose quality is comparatively better than most other models in the same price range.
Like all models, the v3i has some shortcomings which wouldn't have mattered much if the cell phone was not as successful as it is. For one, it does not have a radio, though it does have a strong enough mp3 player and the sound quality is at par with most other cell phones.
One strange thing about the cell phone, at least in its default settings, is that it can record video for less than fifteen seconds, and that hurts big time, especially since this machine does have a nice camera. Another major downer is the inability to install themes and skins by a layman's method of simply copying the file onto the mem. stick or the phone memory. There is a special software available for installing themes on the v3i, and the warranty will be void if any themes are installed.
