IAS Entrance preparation

IAS is the most reputed and sought after post in India. To get selected in such a highly reputed examination candidates give their sweat and blood. Selection in the IAS entrance examination implies high reputation, a fixed and one of the highest pay scales, high responsibilities and a very high social status. To be able to receive the above, one has to give his heart and soul to get the entrance exam clear. Therefore the need of a high level of hard work arises. But sometimes only hard work is not enough to make a candidate successful in the IAS entrance examination. There should be a fusion of hard work, right technique, confidence and knowledge.

The eligibility criteria for the IAS entrance examination is a graduate degree with at least one of the subjects from botany, chemistry, geology, animal husbandry, mathematics, statistics, physics, zoology, forestry etc.

A candidate belonging to the general category can contest in this examination only four times whereas the candidates of other backward classes have the permission to appear in the IAS entrance examination for seven times. However, there is no limit on the number of times a person belonging to the scheduled class or the scheduled tribe class to attempt for the IAS entrance examination.

The candidate appearing for the examination should not be more than 30 years of age and also not less than 21 years of age.

To crack the entrance examination for IAS, one should be very careful while selecting the subjects for the examination. A wide general knowledge is a must and an enhanced and smart personality surely makes an impression during the interview.
