The Last Testament

After Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, many tried to adopt the successful formula of the religious conspiracy. Not many got the success of the original one, but few like Sam Bourne has created the same magic that Dan Brown created few years ago. Sam Bourne's New book ' The Last Testament' has everything that the successful thriller should have... It has mystery, politics, drama, history and off course the great story telling.

The story begins at the loot of the Baghdad Museum of Antiquities at the time of the USA invasion. A teenage Iraqi boy steals an ancient clay tablet from a forgotten vault.

Several years later, when the peace talks between Israel and Palestine are in the final stage. The man is killed in the political rally of the Israeli prime minister by the bodyguards. The retired peace negotiator Maggie Costelloe is sent to the holly land by Washington. In her efforts to know the situation Maggie discovers the link between the latest deaths of archaeologists and historians.

'When the stakes are high and the value of the life is negligible, some truths must not be unearthed'. Sam Bourne uses this principle of the human history to create the fantastic novel. He takes the reader from one various time zones to tell what's happening and as one reads further the mystery becomes thicker. Sam Bourne's knowledge of Middle East gives the story touch of reality. He mixes the facts with fiction to create something that is worth reading.

If you like Dan Brown's stories then you will definitely love this one.
