Dog's Care: Introduction

Dental care:
Generally this is overlooked by most of people. But the dental care of the pet is absolutely essential. pets are prone to gingivitis (gum disease) and tartar just like humans, so it is a very important to brush your pet's teeth, you will make their breath smell better and their teeth much healthier.

But ensure that Toothpaste is made for pets only. Human toothpaste is not good for dog's teeth. If they swallow the same, it will lead to upset stomach If possible brush for 1-2 minutes, if pet resist don't force it.

Feet Care:
Feet should always clean. After making the feet wet the feet, gently clean around the paw and the claws. Check your pet’s feet regularly to make sure that there are no splinters or infections in the paw area If necessary take advise of Vet.

Clipping your Dog’s nails:
Use pet clippers. You have to be very careful. But do not clip too much of your dog’s toenail, that may damage the pink vein which will start the bleeding. When you’re trying to teach your dog to get used to getting his toenails clipped, first let him get used to the sound of the clippers.

Ear Care:
A damp wash cloth works well for this. At least three times a week wet cotton ball should be used daily to clean the crevices around the outer portion of the ears; a cotton swab is okay to use to clean inside those wrinkles. Do not dig down into your dogs ears that can cause pain or more serious damage. Take advise from your veterinarian for the same.
