Robin

How bad, or how could be a yellow, green and red clad pipsqueak of an acrobat be in the comic world? Well, so bad that he has a continuing comic book after himself ever since 1940. And of course, to have a 1-900 call poll whether he should be finished off or not. Quite in the hot seat, our Robin has been, ever since he first made an appearance in the Star Spangled Banner comics as Robin the Boy Wonder in Detective Comics #38.

The story so goes that Dick Grayson is the son of trapeze artists at a circus, who are killed by a Batman arch enemy for unrelated reasons. Batman recognizes this guy's potential and takes care of him, and later adopts him as his son. The original Robin grows up, completes his graduation and stuff and does a bye bye to Bat Man, joining the Teen Titans and finally being the leader of the crime fighting group.

The second Robin, Jason Peter Todd, was originally the son of trapeze artists (once again), and was adopted by Bruce Wayne. (If you're thinking who Bruce Wayne is, please log off, shut down your PC and sleep. Silently?. However, during a reboot, Robin's origins were changed, and he became a street orphan. It was this Robin that prompted the 1-900 poll call. He dies, eventually.

The third, and possibly the most successful Robin, had a connection with the original Robin, Dick Grayson, simply because he had been following Batman and Robin after he witnessed the murders of the Graysons. A amateur detective finds out the real identities of Batman and Robin, and entire worlds haven't been able to find this out. I think the authorities should take this guy in their employ. At least he gets a less eye-killing uniform.
